Homeopathic Approach to Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS)
Do you find yourself suffering from excruciating pain once a month, associated with your period? Homeopathy may be able to significantly relieve your monthly discomfort. The most frequent complaints connected with PMS are uterine cramping, leg or back pain, nausea or diarrhea, bloating, swelling and tenderness of the breasts, irritability and depression, anxiety, changeable moods, fatigue, dizziness, rashes or pimples, and headaches. All of those symptoms may come before, during or after the period. Each woman usually has her own pattern of PMS. In my practice, PMS is a very frequent complaint. Many women come for treatment of other symptoms and only mention PMS in conjunction with taking pain reliever drugs once a month. After taking a constitutional homeopathic remedy there is no longer any need to take Advil or Midol before the period. There are many causes of PMS. Menstrual function is regulated by a complex physiological mechanism. If the intricate balance of hormone levels, prostaglandin levels, the nervous system function, or other factors gets off-balance, the menstrual function becomes disrupted.
Homeopathy works well for arresting the growth of fibroids and reducing their size. It can also be very helpful for endometriosis. It significantly reduces the pain and bleeding, and over time may arrest the growth and even reverse it. Read more about Homeopathic Treatment of Fibroids and Ovarian Cysts.
